Thread: 3.6 Conversion Build Specification

Still have the black one, too. Never to be sold as it was 'born' on my birthday and is a favorite. But having great fun working with Hayden and Tyson on the 3.6. Both the black 2.9 and the tangerine 3.6 have about the same HP - 290-300 - so both are fast, but they are totally different cars. Ironically, the 2.9 is quieter and more comfortable, if that is an appropriate adjective. The 3.6, on the other hand, has buckets of torque and is a true hot rod - louder and much closer to a potential track car - and a total blast to drive on twisty roads - like the Mexico rally Dave B. put together.

I am probably bringing the orange one on the Iron Bottom Rally. Reservations are in. See you there if not before.

Incredible...what is an approximate cost for something like this? Say I started with a solid shell from a 1970-72T and then bought what I needed...I just need to know how much money I need to start saving or which lottery to win...

$60K? $70K? I am really excited about these early 911s, and I think building a hot rod would be a great way to have a unique car that I would never want to get rid of...
