Whats with the rear wheel/wheel arc alignment?
SWB car (and arms) w/ LWB rear fenders?

I "checked out" a very early 911 (Vin# 301524) last week and it had the LWB location for the T-bar covers as well...stock narrow body....and I didn't see any welds, bodywork etc,etc...unless a complete LWB-rearclip up and including the door jams....also, it looked like(hard to see) the t-bars were located in line with the openings....(or maybee it was a LWB with a very early front clip... )
Did Porsche do any special mod's in regards to this except for the "R's" that early?...thought maybee I found "something"...?.../ Lars...

Help me out Chuck, I'm missing your point. Are you saying Stephen's rear wheels have a similar offset? Doesn't look nearly as drastic to me based on that photo ...
Yep... Curt
Stephan's was raced and modified through '73 for group 4 (I think) racing, hence the S/T fenders and wheels.... and the car is of course a '68 T/R. When you look at a dead on profile you see the 2 + inch difference between wheel and fender centerlines....
.... however I wouldn't change the look or handling of that car for the world...
