    Looking for 2.7RS 9113600259

Do you know where this car is? We have access to the original motor from the 2.7RS #9113600259. Engine number 6630281 was originally fitted to a Dec 72 Light Ivory Touring but was fitted to a 74 Carrera 2.7 back in 1983. The owner is prepared to trade.

    Belgian RS

The car was delivered on 1973-10-1 to Porsche, Brussels, Belgium.

In course of time the car has changed from Belgium to Italy.

2003 in August the RS #259 was at the Porsche Treffen Interlaken in
Switzerland. The colour is now Grand Prix White with viper green stripes.
The car came from Italy. The city is Bergamo in the north of the country.
    Number-plate is BE . 566 NF.

I do not know the name of the owner.

    Grüsse

    Claude

Thank you, that is great news. I will see if I can get in contact with Porsche Club Italy to track the car down.

Please update this tread when you find out more. I wonder what the reaction of the present owner will be when you tell him that you have "his" engine. I love this kind of detective work!

    Claude,

That is really cool you have photos of the car in Interlaken. In the summer of '04 my wife and I were driving from Zurich to Sion, CH to meet up with GeorgeK and his wife. We drove right by Interlaken and the Porsche meet that summer. I couldn't believe it. So we stopped and checked out the cars. I looked back through my photos and this RS wasn't there that year.

    Hi Nick,

    You can try here: http://www.aci.it/index.php?id=90

It costs you less than 6 euros and you should be able to get the name and city of the current owner. Then you go to www.paginebianche.it and with some luck you'll find the phone number.

    Ciao, Peter
