    Early taillights

    Hi

I've been told that my 68S has got later model taillight lenses on.

Are these the right taillights? Are they well-priced?

    Thanks!

These light boxes are correct for the SWB series. Price is on the high side, like a lot of his listings.

    Just my $.02

The '69 and later lenses won't fit on the early housings as they are different sizes, so whoever told you that is mistaken.

Do you have a photo of your lights?

It's possible that I have later model taillight housings.

I might have to replace the whole housing - is that right?

if you just need new lenses check out classic and speed parts -have both us and euro lenses for swb cars

they have a discount on left ones for about 60 USD (they accidently ordered too many left ones)

Early tail lights have 2 screws, 69+ have 3 screws. Yours look like early ones.

I thought the early tail lights were sealed units. Are they not?

They are sealed units originally. However you can buy spare lenses and re-do them.

I think you have the Euro SWB and not the US SWB lenses if they are two screw assembly.
