Thread: RSR Rain Shields

    RSR Rain Shields

I remember seeing a set of these for sale here about a year ago. I did a search and found the listing, but there were no photos posted.

They are a factory part and they mount to the ducktail to keep water out of the open stacks. I am going to be running open stacks on my motor - for at least a little while - and I'm looking for anti-water ideas.

I would appreciate any info or photos.

    Thanks.

I have also seen this type; I borrowed this photo from elsewhere on our site. If some one can provide some rough dimesions from some originals; these can not be that hard to make. Can anyone say sheet metal project?

Nice, Curt. I was waiting for that comment.

Actually, I was referring more to washing the car; but since I don't do much of that, either, I really shouldn't have a problem.

Mopar and Andy - Those are EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thanks.

    1. Big plastic bag over engine before washing.
    2. Note to self taped to steering wheel--"DO NOT START WITHOUT REMOVING BAG."

I used to use the "big plastic bag" method on my 914-6. Targas ... sheesh

I've been thinking about roping some tennis or racket (racquette?) balls together, too.

We used to use bathroom sink plugs to block the intakes of the old racing cars at the workshop. Cheap solution if all you need them for is to wash the car. Usually raises a laugh from your friends, so has comic value too!

I'll claim the idiot award there...have taken off twice forgetting to remove the garbage bag from the motor. Gotta be the dumbest thing I've ever done on this planet, geeeez!
