    SWB Script Questions

Can someone tell me if these are original? Or at least give me more information of what I have exactly? In full disclosure, I have someone interested in buying these, but I need to be better informed about what I have. It is kinda hard to tell in the pics, but they are silver in color. Thanks!

    Scott,

The gold plating has probably faded away on these if they are in fact originals for a 911. Had that happen on a couple of mine that I had, you could still see the gold on the sides of the numbers in a couple of places.

The slanted 911 was made in two pin placement widths, something like 49mm, or 57mm from memory.

There are repro's out in the marketplace of both items.

a faded gold 911 script and a silver Porsche (from a 912) script.

I would prefer these (fresh plated) any day over the repro's. The repro's that Stoddard sells (and Mattman on ebay) don't hold up to well, the gold peels off, if you use your car in not sunny days too.

As for pricing, both are worth money. More than what new repro's cost.
