Used 901 and 915 gear values???

I could use some help here. I am rebuilding my 901 box for my 914 (A,F,Ka, Q, X with LSD) and have some spare gear sets I want to sell, but do not know fair values. I also have a short geared 915 box with a bad R&P and bearings such that its not worth rebuilding, but has some good gears. Here's What I have:

    901:

    A 1st gear - bad dog ring
GA 2nd gear mainshaft - bad dog ring
    N 3rd gear - good (can be flipped to be Z 4th or 5th)
    O 3rd gear - good (can be flipped to be Y 4th or 5th)
V 4th gear - good (two of these)
ZA 5th gear - good (can be flipped to be M 3rd)

    915:

    1st AZ / 11:35 - good
    2nd HW / 18:32 - dog ring bad
    3rd PHII / 21:29 - good (this is a powerhouse II gearset)
    4th OR / 24:27 - good
    5th PHII / 27:25 - good (this is a powerhouse II gearset)

Also have mag 901 tranny case and 915 mag tranny case (mechanical speedo nose).

Any help on pricing these would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Brooke

    Brooke-
The prices really depend on the ratios. I converted my 911 box to AFMSX. I purchased the M, S, and X as a group for $300. I think that was a good price. I think that the 901 gears you have are pretty standard for a 911 gearbox, so there are a lot of them around (some in my garage!). More rare ratios useful for making close ratio gearboxes seem to sell for $200 to $300. I had to shop to get the deal I got. Flipping gears is a source of controversy. Certainly, a flipped ratio would be worth less that an un-flipped one

Hello: Your gearsets are worth between $100-$500 a peice. The longer you keep them the more they are worth. Good syncro gear teeth are now over $100 so with the gear they have to be worth at least that. I would keep all the gears unless you really need to sell them. I have special race gears I bought 15 years ago from Stoddard for under $100 a peice. They are worth a hell of a lot more than that now. Try to find a R or T 4th gears and see what you will pay. Hope this helps. Thanks Eric
