I gotta say that ice water thing will be VERY handy in June for the POC STS event.

All kidding aside, track event clubs/organizations have every driver's vital info, an emegency phone contact, and a signed liability release. Probably best for everyone driving to get Ray their info so it's handy at the track.

Sandy truth be told nothing on the back of that helmet is true, I thought the DOB might elicit some zingers.
My ice water is my Cool Shirt and helmet blower, really great way to add comfort when you track in a 3 layer nomex fire suit.

Chuck, Sandy...Thanks for the safety tips AGAIN..Everything is real helpful to everyone involved..

    Latest news:

Sorry to say, that 3 paid drivers cannot make the event. If anyone else who now knows their schedule, can make it, please come. You can take their spots, they get reimbursed....
I want to be able to get them all or partial money refund. No one is making any money, I am paying the $200.00 fee.

THANKS to Tony, Marco of TLG, lunch is included. Looking at 23-25 drivers..

The weather for Tuesday will be 58 degrees in the morning, 8 mph winds. In the afternoon 71-77 degrees, up to 17 mph winds.

ALSO: The drivers who will be paying at the track, if you can, PLEASE bring cash!! Several drivers paid the intial $270.00 fee. They get a $70.00 refund. Also, I can pay the Fire/EMS crew and Corner Workers with cash, per their request.

    Thanks

    Lightbulb

    You got it Ray...

Hey buddy, thanks for all your organization....

BTW - For those who are going tape up their cars with the 3M blue low-tack tape, put it on at home BEFORE the event (except the headlights of course ) ... this way you don't have to take time at the track for busy work....

    Cheers,

Looks like decent weather tomorrow, although some wind forecast. Should be great!!!! Looks good for me as well. Looking foreward to seeing you all in the morning, probably there by 7 am. I found some colored stickers to mark the run groups.

    Thumbs up

Man, I sure hope other people were taking pictures because I was getting SO much track time and having So much damn fun I only took a few....

Whatever Ray is calling this event... IT WAS A RESOUNDING SUCCESS !!!!!

After going through almost a tank and a half of gas on the track my arms are so tired it's hard to type...

    - There was near tragedy to be overcome ... Eade will tell you himself...

    - There was a bunch of newbie's, including the 'Mini Skirts' who were REALLY lit up buy the experience...

    - There was the old 'track rats' who kept going round and round all day...

    - There was a relaxed socializing atmosphere... (read: lots of laughs and mess'n around)...

    - There was good and safe driving instruction...

    - There was, in fact, a FREE LUNCH .... Thanks to Tony G. and Marco...

    - There was a little too much wind ... Thanks to Willow Springs...

    - AND, there was a GREAT dinner after a big day at the track...

Thanks to Ray for organizing and putting this thing together... and to all who made it run smoothly...

    ... more to come

    Cheers,

    WHAT A BLAST!!!!!!

Chuck gave you the highlights of a very relaxed day the way these events should be. Big Thanks to Ray for setting this up and organizing us all. Nicely done Ray. There were old friends, new friends and the usual suspects in attendance. The Mini skirts (Vic, Patti and Tina) all out learning the line and loving it. The official R Gruppies, Sheila and Gloria were out to support and add beauty to the day, and many new faces came along to try the track experience out for the first time.

I'm sure there will be many more pics and maybe some video posted to document the fun.

A Big Thanks to Tony and Marco at TLG for hosting the lunch. Cheers guys!!!!

Looking forward to the next opportunity to hang out in relaxed style.
