Wow, nice one off, truly unique.
Apart from the Dutch orange coloring combined with German text POLIZEI, this is a truly international car with the US spec lamps front and back that were not used in Europe where these cars operated. I guess done for the show at the time to allow the American public to recognize it as the latest 911?
Why the red light though? The B/W picture does not help; was it fitted later or already mounted at the time of the show back then?

The Swedish Police also had Coupe's. I think they came in black and white.

Just learned Swiss Police also drove Porsche 911/912 early on (they did had 356’s), here two 1965 912, opening ceremony of the 1966ish highway near Zurich, including BMW bikes and Saurer bus.

Are you really sure that we ever had red policecars in Germany? I never saw such a paint. Policecars have been white or white-green but I´ve never seen a white-red Policecar.

    Have a nice Weekend

    Hi Bernd,

I think PSS (see top of page) was already on to that; no, German policecars had green/white and Dutch police cars had this orange/white colourcombo.
