    Worn Distrubutor?

What are the symtoms of a worn distributor?

Thanks in advance, (no pun intended)

Timing mark jumps back and forth when you strobe the Z1 mark on the pulley.

Distributor shaft rocks in bore when radial pressure applied.

Inability to get consistent advance readings.

Slow to accelerate because advance not operating, or high engine temperatures due to detonation caused by 45 degrees advance, followed by piston ring burn-through, rod bearing seizing and fist-sized window being punched through side of engine case by broken rod.
