Not sure when they started running, but in the early 80's there were plenty of March Porsches running in IMSA GTP. Don't have any photos but Holbert, along with others ran them. There were also at LeMans....Grid & Cougar with Porsche engines.

I don't have any photos, wouldn't know how to post them if I did, but there are two I'll add, one was built by Royale in Britain, for the IMSA GTP lights series. It looked very similar to the 956, slightly smaller, used a 3.0 RSR engine and drive train. It was only campaigned for a couple years then dissappeared. It was found several years ago in Puerto Rico by Dennis Frick, been restored, I did the first engine for him, and he's currently vintage racing it. The other is a Bobsy Porsche that has been run at the Monterry historics several times, and I think featured in Excellence some years ago. The Bobsy was a D/SR car that was built to use several different motors, Alfa and Lotus most commonly.

BTW - This is how the KMW appears in my 1974 FIA Year Book

As usual, all pictures (except advertising) and stats are at lest one session older in these references...

The "Pooper", 356, 550 motor in a Cooper chassis, first built by Tippy Lipe here in Syracuse [not Ken Miles]. Dolphin Porsche, Devin Porsche, and something I was told about by a guy I bought a Belgian 356 roadster from but have never seen or heard about since, a Lola- Porsche he said his brother owned, chassis nr. 001, from the 356 era.
