Great site Curt! I have never seen some of those cars! Like the Dodge Flite Wing or the Daroo II

There is a warehouse in Warren Michigan where the old GM concept cars are stacked on shelves like cordwood. It's an amazing sight. Only a select few have undergone restoration.

Here's the 1967 Chevy Astro 1 (not pictured on the site) done by Larry Shinoda.

    very nice site...

I especially like some of the Virgil Exner (Ghia?) designs from '52 - '54.
It's fascinating to me that Exner was able to maintain a sense of dialogue, identity, and continuity from one concept to the next. I can only imagine how tough that is to do in this day of top-heavy management, design-by-comittee, and overly empowered accountants...

    Cool...Thanks, Curt.

    Cheers

I like the 'Corvair by Pininfarina' - check the A-pillar.

    Speaking of Pininfarina Corvairs...

Evidently, there were two of them - both apparently designed by Tom Tjaarda.
This is the later one of the two...I kinda like the first one myself; it looks more "pulled together", and yes the A-pillar is great...

Something got lost on the 2nd version...
