    Seller's Description:

This is a one owner California car bought new from Vasek Polak Porsche Audi in Hermosa Beach,CA. Delivered to owner in Santa Barbara, CA on 05/25/1970 who used it as his business car. Specifics of car as delivered are as follows:

    - 1970 Porsche 911E (Karmann Body) Coupe
    - Options: Tinted Glass All Around, Blaupunkt Frankfurt Radio
    - All numbers match on this car (see pics)

Car has undergone a moderate restoration which includes refurbished dash, restored 5.5 x 14 Fuchs wheels, new carpeting with Cocoa Mats front and back, new headliner, restored electric Golde sunroof, refurbished Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, new antenna, new door and window moldings, new window gaskets and seals, new aluminum door trim, new door panels, new correct size battery, new sun visors, and new Michelin tires. Engine bay was hand cleaned. Hoses and belts replaced as needed. All Porsche and OEM parts used. Total parts cost was approximately $15,000.

Engine runs strong. Most service records available going back to 1974. There is small oil leak at the right rear of the engine most likely due to worn seals on the oil cooler. Sunroof transmission keeps slipping upon power but sunroof can be operated manually with provided tool. Original tool kit and owner manuals in English and German provided.

There are a few spider web type cracks in the paint in some areas (see pictures).

Overall, a good example of a classic Porsche 911E for a collector to take it to the next level.
For sale $87,500 in Georgia now.

Indeed… seems like the low options (including 14” rims) and sort of meh paint job held it back in 2019. Current listing says it retains the hydropneumatic struts too…

This gorgeous 911E was sold new at Vasek Polak, Hermosa Beach, CA, and remained in the Golden State since. It is a well documented 3 owner fully matching number’s car, accompanied with a great deal of service history. The original 2.2 MFI motor runs like a Swiss watch. The 901 5-Speed gearbox shifts like butter with no grinding noises. The clutch is in top shape as well, and the overall performance is spot on!

The car is still equipped with its original Comfort Hydro Pneumatic self-level suspension and original date-correct 14” alloys, electric sunroof, and period-correct Blaupunkt radio.

Recent major services include valve adjustment, plugs, cap, rotor, pointless ignition, oil service, gearbox fluid, all top of engine gaskets, oil cooler seals, main oil tank line, new AGM battery with stealth trickle charge cable, all rotors replaced, all calipers renewed including front Aluminum S calipers with new aluminum pistons, new S/S brake lines and brake hardware / pads.

This timeless long hood classic is a great driving and looking 911E that can be fully enjoyed and cherished for many decades to come. The rarity will provided great investment potential.

It may still have it's hydropneumatic struts, but they have been converted to accept shocks and torsion bars.
