It certainly qualifies for having the entire interior gutted and set on fire.

BaT Description:
This 1969 Porsche 911E Coupe is finished in Polo Red over a black leather interior featuring Pepita seat inserts. The car comes from the first model year of 911E production and retains its original fuel-injected 2.0L flat-six, which is paired with the original 5-speed manual transaxle. A bare-metal repaint and engine rebuild were performed in 2012, and the interior was refreshed five years prior. For the past three years and approximately 200 miles, the car has resided in a private collection. This 911E is now offered on dealer consignment with service records dating back to 1979, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a clear Texas title.
This car is one of 954 911E coupes produced by Porsche for model year, and it was refinished in the factory Polo Red (6802) approximately seven years ago. Closeups of the panel fit, lenses, and trim have been provided in the gallery, along with photos highlighting a few stone chips in various areas. Chrome rocker panel guards came fitted from the factory and remain installed, along with the gold script on the engine cover. 15” Fuchs alloys are wrapped in Michelin rubber, and braking is managed by 4-wheel vented discs. 1969 was the first year of the long wheelbase 911, which features rear wheels moved 57mm further aft in order to improve handling at the limit.
Trimmed in black leather upholstery with Pepita inserts, the interior was refreshed in 2007. Closeups of the door panels, rear seats, carpet, and white headliner are provided in the gallery. A stock steering wheel, shift knob, and Blaupunkt radio are fitted, and 55k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer. A crack is present in the dash pad as can be seen.
The 2.0-liter flat six is equipped with a Bosch MFI system and was rated for 140 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 129 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm by the factory. The engine was rebuilt in 2012 and comes paired with a 5-speed 901 transaxle. Engine stamping is *6291753*, and the transaxle stamping is #7196952. The numbers both match the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, confirming the powertrain as original. Service records and receipts dating back to 1979 accompany the sale. The included Porsche CoA shows a production date May 21, 1969 and lists the original configuration and options.

I’ve a 1970 911E that I’ve had listed on Pelican & PCA for a little while now.
Like I said in the listing, it’s not a concours car, so I’m not pricing it that way.
I’d really like to sell it soon.
I’m friends with a bunch of the Dayton/Cincinnati guys. A lot of them know me and the car.
Make me an offer !

In the '80's, I could've dreamed of implementing the same red/black treatment...thankfully, I didn't have the money!

A nicely done novelty but, . . . never ceases to amaze me the level of effort people go through to devalue their early 911.

BaT Description:
This 1971 Porsche 911E was originally a Targa model and was acquired by the seller as as an empty shell three years ago. It was subsequently converted into a Speedster-style car with a low windscreen, fender flares, removed windows, a Boxster roll bar, and more. A repaint in metallic gray was then performed, and the interior features a custom dashboard, reupholstered seats, and new carpets. The 2.4-liter flat-six was rebuilt by Supertec Performance about a decade ago as outlined below and is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. Approximately 1,200 miles have been added since the project was completed in 2017, and this modified 911 is now offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The 911 Targa body received extensive metal work three years ago, with the intention of creating a Speedster-style appearance. The cowl was modified to accommodate a shorter windscreen and the windshield wipers were removed. The rear panel was lowered and extended 11” forward, and Carrera-style fender flares were added. Fiberglass bumpers and a front hood were installed, and the door handles and side windows were removed. A modified Boxster roll bar was also mounted, and the removable half tonneau cover is made of fiberglass and painted black. Rust repairs included new floor panels and a replacement battery floor. There is no convertible soft top or removable hardtop. The 17″ Fuchs-style wheels measure 7″ in width up front and 9″ out back. Yokohama Advan Neova tires were reportedly mounted two years ago. New brakes were also installed along with stainless steel flexible lines.
The interior was refinished with reupholstered comfort seats out of a later 911, as well as salt-and-pepper carpets. Custom door panels feature large pockets and pull straps. Additions included a wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel and a Rennline brushed-metal dashboard face. The heat system was retained and uses vents under the dash. Modern 356-style gauges are fitted, and the seller notes that the tachometer sometimes takes a while to read correctly. About 1,200 miles have been added since the build was completed, and true chassis mileage is unknown.
The trunk is partly upholstered in matching carpet, and the modified fuel tank uses a center filler. An upgraded blade-style fuse box is installed, and an Odyssey battery is fitted in the smuggler’s box.
Supertec Performance in Fallbrook, California built the flat-six engine approximately 10 years ago. The crankcase is from 1971 911E and the displacement was increased to 2.4 liters. The seller states that the internals have been built to 911S specifications, and the shroud is an orange 2.4L 911S-style item. 50mm PMO carburetors are fitted, and the ignition system consists of an electronic distributor from 123 Ignition, an MSD ignition controller, and an MSD Blaster 2 coil. The modified engine was originally installed in another 911, but the seller transplanted it into this car during the 2017 build. The oil has reportedly been changed annually and the valves are said to have been adjusted since the engine was installed.
The 5-speed 901 manual transaxle received a new second gear synchromesh and gaskets in March 2019. The suspension was reportedly rebuilt using new Bilstein shocks and adjustable Tarrett Engineering sway bars.
