Ad description:
"1971 Porsche 911E finished in Light Ivory with Black Leatherette interior. Driven just 83k miles since new, this very solid and original example has had just one respray in it's original color since new. The gauges, seats, headliner and most importantly, it's floorpan are all original. It represents an extremely honest car that is a great driver quality example as it sits or with a minimal amount of work, could be a spectacular example. It comes with it's original matching numbers engine and five speed transmission with a conversion from it's fuel injection system to Weber carburetors. It is fitted with five date stamped original five spoke Fuchs alloys, new Vreedstein Sprint Classic tires, Bosch H4 Euro headlamps, auxiliary fog lamps, new dual correct batteries and much more. The original dashboard has just a slight crack in front of the radio speaker but is otherwise in great shape. This car is realistically priced at $76,900. All serious inquiries should be directed to Mark Starr @ 914 217-4817."

Quick history... I purchased this car 2 years ago from the second owner in hopes of restoring her to her original beauty but it doesn't look like this little dream of mine is going to come true. She had sat outside for a couple of years prior - and it took its toll - but has since been kept inside of my garage. I just want to be frank and let the potential buyers know this car is going to take some time and money to get her road worthy again.
This vehicle does NOT run. In my opinion this car needs a complete restoration. Most of the components are there. I have no idea what condition the engine is in. The previous owner told me it was running when it was parked for the last time (I'm guessing 4 years ago) but the clutch was slipping. The MFI has been replaced with a carburetor system. The car comes with (5) 14" fuchs wheels. I've been told the factory wheels should have been 15" by one source and 14" by another. The best I've been able to tell is the 911S were equipped with 15" and the 911E had the 14" wheels but I really don't know. Needs new tires. The front tub needs to be replaced. The drives door latch doesn't latch. The seats and interior need reupholstering. There is rust at the floor pans, rocker panel, engine lid and other various places. The dash and headliner are in decent shape. Not to state the obvious but it's a 45 year old car that has never been restored but apparently had been repainted some years ago. Everything needs to be gone through and checked out thoroughly.
On the bright side... You don't see many of these babies on the road and in the right hands this could be one of the finest cars in town.
