Depends on the oil pump. If it has the strainer attached to the pickup tube it's this or one like it with a hole. Yes, it should be flat.

Because it probably has a 3.2 or 964 oil pump.

    Not a bad thing.

    BaT Description:

This 1970 Porsche 911T Coupe was purchased new on November 8, 1970 by a Mr. Buchanan out of Glencoe, Illinois and was sold to a Mr. Graham of San Diego, California in 1975. The seller acquired the car from the second owner’s family in April 2012 and has since performed a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment that included a repaint in the original Silver Metallic as well refreshment of the chassis, interior, brakes, suspension, and steering system. The numbers-matching 2.2L flat-six was rebuilt with Mahle pistons and cylinders, upgraded camshafts, and oil fed tensioners. The 901 5-speed manual transaxle was also rebuilt and a new clutch was installed less than 1k miles ago. This 911 is now being offered for sale at no reserve with a Porsche CoA, original manuals, service records, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

A repaint in the original Silver Metallic (80) was commissioned by the seller approximately five years ago. A later-model engine latch panel was reportedly installed under previous ownership. The car retains US-spec rear bumperettes, and Euro H4 headlights and rear gold lettering have been added. The car rides lower than stock on a set of factory date-coded 15×6” Fuchs alloys wrapped in newer Pirelli CN36 tires. A spare, original toolkit, and jack are included in the sale.

Recaro sport seats were reupholstered in black leatherette with wool houndstooth inserts. A replacement dashboard was installed, along with NOS door pockets, and German velour carpeting. A factory leather-rimmed four-spoke steering wheel and Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio are retained. The 5-digit odometer shows under 8k miles, with actual mileage unknown.

The 2.2L flat-six was rebuilt with Mahle pistons, upgraded camshafts, oil fed tensioners, piston squirters, and an oil bypass modification. The cylinder heads were reconditioned, and NOS main and rod bearings were installed. The 901 5-speed manual transaxle was also rebuilt and a new clutch was fitted. Peak output is quoted at the rear wheels as 149 horsepower at 5,500 rpm according to the dyno sheet provided in the gallery. Engine stamping #6109240 matches the number listed on the CoA provided below.

Suspension, brakes, and steering components have additionally been refreshed according to the seller, and approximately 1,000 miles have been added since the work was completed. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity provided confirms the original colors and lists the optional equipment.

    • Left-hand drive US-supplied '70 911T 2.2
    • Striking in Signal Orange over black with a rebuilt engine & gearbox
    • Supplied with a NOVA reference number & MOT
    • Accompanied by original service book and copy sales invoice

Offered here is a left-hand drive Porsche 911T 2.2 delivered new through Norm Bishop Porsche of Boise, Idaho on 12th February 1970 and finished in the striking colour of Signal Orange (colour code 1414) over a black leather interior. Factory installed options include; front and rear bumperettes, Koni shock absorbers, 5-speed transmission, alloy wheels, and front and rear stabiliser bars. Incredibly, the original service book remains intact recording 6 service stamps and also shows the cars’ engine number, confirming it is a matching numbers example. Always cherished, the car had only three owners whilst it remained in the USA. There are invoices in the file dated May ’16 from Mayo Performance for what appears to be recommissioning work carried out.

Our vendor imported the car to the UK in 2017 and immediately set about removing the engine, dismantling it, having the original engine block machined and the whole unit re-assembled with new parts along with a rebuild of the gearbox. At this time the car was also totally resprayed in its original colour, Signal Orange, resulting in the beautiful car that sits before us today. Offered with a NOVA reference number, an MoT to enable prospective buyers to register the car in the UK with the DVLA, the original Service Book, and a Driver’s Manual.

Early 911s possess a certain purity of line, particularly in bright colours, a complete world away from the aerodynamic extravagances of the eighties and nineties, and in terms of style, it's the early cars that engender the most appreciative glances. A well set-up and maintained 911T, 'E' or 'S' driven with an intelligent right foot will provide some of the most quintessentially rewarding driving experiences you have ever had, and even the 125bhp 911T, will leave you with a serious grin.

    BaT Description:

This 1968 Porsche 911T is a European-market example that was delivered new in Belgium through the D’Ieteren dealership network. The car remained there until it was imported to Greece in 2005 by the previous owner. He commissioned a thorough refurbishment that included a repaint in the original color, new exterior trim, a new interior, and a rebuild of the matching numbers 2.0-liter flat-six using new Mahle pistons, liners, and rings. The engine retains its factory Weber carburetors and is paired with the original 5-speed manual transaxle. Purchased by BaT regular Alex_V in 2017 as a personal vehicle, this 911 recently received a carburetor rebuild, brake service, and new tires. A Porsche certificate and limited service records come with the car, which is now being offered at no reserve with a clean Greek title in the seller’s name and free shipping to any location. The sheet metal was stripped and repainted in the original Ossi Blue (6803) in 2006. New chrome trim was installed at that time, as were a pair of period Cibie rally lights. The car was professionally detailed in preparation for sale. Genuine Fuchs wheels have been installed and are fitted with a set of new Vredestein tires. The wheels are not correctly date coded, and the spare is a non-original steel wheel. The car was converted to long wheelbase by a previous owner. (?)

The interior was refurbished by the previous owner with new black leatherette upholstery, door panels, carpets, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. Factory-installed options include a power sunroof and raised seats along with a manually-operated radio antenna. A Becker Europa radio has been fitted, and the odometer indicates 56k kilometers (~34,800 miles). The seller notes that the true mileage is unknown and that he has added approximately 1,500 kilometers since his purchase in 2017.

The factory 2.0-liter flat-six is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle and features the original Weber carburetors. In 2006, the previous owner had the engine rebuilt using new Mahle pistons, liners, and rings. The car has been driven less than 5,000 kilometers since, and a recent compression reportedly showed around 180 psi across all six cylinders. Stamping *2080173* matches the CoA, confirming the engine as original. Matching transmission stamping (2280163) confirmed on CoA.

A service and tune-up was recently completed by the seller. The carburetors were rebuilt, the gas tank was cleaned, and the fuel lines, cooling fan, and battery were replaced. In addition, a brake service was completed with new rotors being installed. An included certificate from Porsche confirms the delivery date, matching serial numbers, original color combination, and optional equipment. For this auction, the seller is offering to ship the car from his shop in Greece to any location in the world free of charge.

    BaT Description:

This 1973 Porsche 911T was originally sold in California and was purchased by the seller six years ago out of Ohio. Now located in Utah, the car underwent a refurbishment at Air Power Racing in Salt Lake City in 2014 that included an engine rebuild and a repaint in the original Light Ivory. Power is from the numbers-matching 2.4-liter flat-six, which had 911E camshafts installed during engine work in the early 2000s and is paired with the original 5-speed manual transaxle. This 911T is now being offered with receipts and photos from the 2014 work, some records from previous owners, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.

The body was repainted in its original Light Ivory (11) in 2014 after being refinished in silver during a partial refurbishment that took place during the early 2000s. The 2014 work was completed by Porsche specialist Les Long at Air Power Racing in Utah, and it included stripping the body to bare metal before refinishing. 15” Fuchs wheels are fitted with Falken Ziex ZE512 tires that were mounted in 2012. The car was stored in the seller’s living room during winter months to ensure a climate-controlled environment.

The cabin is trimmed in black leatherette (11) with charcoal carpets. The carpet set, dash, and glovebox cover are believed to have been replaced at some point prior to the early 2000s work. The odometer shows just under 46k miles, 5k of which have been added by the seller during six years of ownership.

The 2.4-liter flat-six was rebuilt in 2014 by Air Power Racing, where it was noted that the engine had been fitted with 911E camshafts at some point during a previous ownership. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the original 5-speed 915 manual transaxle, which was also rebuilt in 2014 with new synchros, bearings, and a Sachs clutch. According to the seller, the most recent service was last year at a Porsche dealership and corrected a problem with the idle. Stamping *6130273* matches the CoA, confirming the engine as original as well as the matching transmission stamping (7330272).

Receipts for the engine and transaxle rebuilds as well as the paintwork are included, and according to the seller total over $25k. The receipts also show the injection pump was rebuilt in 2014 and that the heat exchangers were replaced. The included Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows the matching numbers and original colors.

    Now that one doesn't run!

At 5,500 I'm curious about the compression numbers. The correction factor is .853@5,500 ft. What is the opinion of our esteemed brain trust regarding a compression figure for a 2.4 911-T? 120-125psi @ sea level?

    I'd really rather have a leak-down.

Alpine, Utah is listed at only 4951 ft above sea level so compression numbers might read a little higher... ;-)
Remember, we are talking about a 2.4T from 72-73 which had the lowest compression motors of all of the F models.

Yes sir, a ripping 7.5:1 CR!

Nice catch. I was using the comment from the owners latest post about the distributor and paid no attention to his physical location.

"Keep in mind compression numbers are at altitude of 5500 feet."

    (.887 for the correction factor)
