    Auction Description:

This 1969 Porsche 911T coupe is a longtime California car that was purchased by the seller 17 years ago. Built it in January 1969, the car is powered by its numbers-matching 2.0-liter flat-six paired to the original 4-speed manual transmission. This example is finished in its factory combination of Ivory White over Black and still wears its original California black license plates. It is now offered at no reserve with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, some records dating back to the original owner, period documentation, factory manuals, and a clean California title. Outside, Ivory White paint is said to be partially original, though re-touching was performed in 1998. The car reportedly has no known history of accidents, and no evidence of impacts have been found by the seller upon inspection. The front trunk is detailed in the photo gallery, and the hood is in need of new struts. The factory Sekurit glass and exterior trim/fittings are detailed in the gallery. The original bumpers and brightwork show age-related pitting, while road wear on the nose and front fascia are also displayed. Some surface rust is highlighted in the wheel well lips, while the Fuchs alloys are wrapped in newer rubber. Registered with original black California license plates.

Inside, the black upholstery looks to be holding up well for tis age, though the dashboard shows a number of cracks and some warping near the windshield. Factory trim remains present, and the headliner appears to be taut as shown. The seller states that all instrumentation and lights are in working order. The functional odometer currently displays 15,418 miles, though total mileage is unknown.

The car retains its numbers-matching 2.0-liter flat-six (#6195719) and 4-speed manual transmission (#7091032) according to the CoA. The seller states that it is not a daily driver and was most recently serviced in May 2016. The factory engine stamping and the transmission stamping can be seen in the photo gallery. The seller has provided a few undercarriage pictures in the photo gallery. Some service records dating back to the original owner are included with the sale along with factory books and other period documentation. The CoA shows Ivory White over Black Leatherette to be the original color configuration and verifies matching numbers for the engine and transmission.

...and no longer listed on BAT...can't even bring up the ad, even with search function...usually BAT will leave an ad and say pulled. Never seen one totally erased like that. Odd.

It was apparently a hoax. A little Google search came up with another listing of this car for sale from November 2014.

    http://www.vintagecarconnections.com/?p=7831

It seems all the photos for the BaT listing was copied from this site. Although there is a REAL CoA on the old site (see below). Also a listing at Hemming's for this car was pulled down recently; and it was listed as a 1967 911 !

The 4-speed is extremely rare. Very few people have even seen one.

Optimistic seller. Perhaps the "zero" on the end was an extra keystroke.

    BaT Description:

This 1970 911T is a Canadian-market example powered by its numbers matching 2.2-liter flat-six paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It was imported into California in the early 2000s and acquired by the seller three years ago. The car has been driven approximately 500 miles since and was previously modified with RS body panels, though the seller has installed original-style lids and bumpers. The rear fenders have been flared, and a set of staggered 15″ Fuchs are fitted. The engine received a major service in 2011, and Bilstein shocks have been installed along with rear Polybronze bushings. The seller describes the car as a good driver with a few cosmetic imperfections and some rust on the suspension and floor pans. It is now being offered with a Porsche CoA, records dating back to 2011, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

Originally finished in Signal Orange, the car has been repainted and was wearing RS bumpers and a ducktail spoiler when acquired by the seller. He has since sourced a stock-type engine lid and bumpers, and then had them painted to match and installed. Some nicks and blemishes are reported in the finish.

Rear fender flares are reported to have been installed unevenly with some periodic rubbing. The seller has sourced a set of replacement rear quarters and a full set of 1971 date-coded Fuchs that are available separately. Chromed 15” Fuchs have been wrapped in Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring rubber.

Some repair work has been performed to the Black Leatherette interior over the past few years, and RS-style door panels are fitted. The driver’s lower cushion shows to have been re-filled and reupholstered, and some wear is present on the piping. 82k kilometers (~51k miles) are shown the odometer, though true mileage is unknown.

The original 2.2-liter flat-six is reported to have been rebuilt in the past and received a major engine-out service at 56k kilometers in 2011 due to a wrist-pin clip being found in the oil-sump. Receipts shown in the gallery below indicate that the heads were rebuilt, the engine was resealed, and a new oil cooler and pointless ignition were installed.

Power is sent through a 901 5-speed manual transaxle, and a solid pair of used heat exchangers were installed during the 2011 service. The trailing arms have been fit with Polybronze bushings, Bilstein shocks were installed, and turbo tie-rod ends are used up front. Some rust is present on the underside of the chassis, with the worst reported on the front suspension and around the floor pan. The Porsche CoA lists the engine number as 6102898, which matches the stamping.
