    Seller's (rambling) Description:

    Real 3 owners cars (1973 -> 2009 ; 2009 -> 2018; 2018->…)

    * Clean NY title
    * It’s a matching number car, both engine and transmission (match COA)
    * I believe the car has 152,000 miles documented (invoices)
    * I have no reasons to believe the car was in an accident. Everything is straight and I don’t see any invoices relative to a repair in a body shop
    * The car has been respray in the mid 80's (invoice)
    * Front seats has been reupholstery with the correct pattern for 73 cars
    * Funny fact, the car was ordered with the recaro cloth sport seats but when the car was delivered in the US, the buyer ask to replace the Recaro seats by leather seats and he pay an extra for it (I still have the invoice)
    * The car has the original dashboard and it has some cracks (they almost all do)
    I have a plastic cover but I removed it as I like more the original dashboard even with the cracks
    * All the instruments/gauges are working
    * Rear seats look brand new
    * I must have around 60-70 invoices from day 1 to 2009! This car was really well maintain it’s all life
    * The car has the correct front and rear bumperette rubbers for a 73 ½ US car. I changed the rear one by European ones because I like more the look but I kept the original bumperette if you want the car 100% stock
    * The color, gold metallic, is a special order color, and is truly a spectacular-gorgeous color
    Because it’s a sportomatic, and the car has the appearance option package, the carpet are the same as the 911S, same aluminum front brakes, and same gauges and external oil cooler as the S too

    Interesting car because 73 ½ T are the first cars to receive the CSI instead of carb or MFI
    It’s called 73 ½ because it only apply to US 911T build between January 1973 and july 1973 (the engine is type 911/96 unique to sporto) . For 1974, the engine is a 2.7, before January 73 either carb for T or MFI for E or S

    2.4 MFI gain 10hp (130@5600 -> 140HP@5700) et 8 feet of torque compared to carb (144lbft@4000 -> 148lbft@4000)
    Sporto is also an interesting technology.
    If you combine Targa, 73 ½ and sport, production number is very low
    around 202 sporto with the CSI and targa were produced
    -> It does not really give a higher value but they are rare to find. Also some sporto were converted to manual so finding a true sporto is not so easy

    This car was a 1 owner car until 2009
    This car was well optioned and was more expensive than a base 911E coupé!
    I also find out who was the owner and he’s still alive.
    The A/C was an option from the factory.
    You may have notice that it’s missing the compressor. I’m waiting for the second owner to give it to me as it came in a separate box when he bought the car
    In any case, the car will come with the right compressor installed in the car.

    The second owner is a Porsche collector
    He barely use this car and it stay in a heated garage with his collection
    I think he drove less than 1500 miles in 8 years

    I bought the car from him last year and immediately bring the car to my regular mechanic to check the car:
    He did the following:
    * Fuel pump (Porsche OE, special order to Porsche in Germany)
    * Fuel accumulator
    * 4 shock and struts
    * Brake pads
    The car is very clean, I don’t see any rust anywhere and it drives very well
    The sportomatic transmission works well and you can shift with just 1 finger
    Engine is very healthy and it’s very vigorous after 3500 rpm
    Because of the sportomatic trans, you can drive in town and only use the 2nd gear if you want. You don’t have to change gear as often as a manual, I believe because of the torque converter.

    BaT Description:

    This 1969 Porsche 911T is finished in Light Ivory over a black interior, and the seller acquired it from a Marina Del Rey dealer in 2007. The seller subsequently moved to New York with the car in 2009, where it spent most of the next ten years at the Classic Car Club Manhattan before coming to New Zealand with the seller last year. The car is powered by a carbureted 2.0L flat-six paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle, and the car is equipped with 1980s Recaro front seats, an aftermarket stereo, RS-style door panels, and more. Now in Auckland, this 911T is offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, records from the seller’s ownership, and transferable New York State registration.

    The seller had the car repainted in the original Light Ivory (6804) due to fading in the previous finish, and reports that the car was not fully stripped to bare metal during the repaint. The car retains factory US-market exterior lighting, bumpers, and small bumperettes. Stone chips are described on the forward surfaces, with additional chips near the driver’s door handle and fuel door. A scrape is pictured on the right rear quarter panel near the wheelarch which was reportedly incurred when the car was being shipped to New Zealand. Factory 15″ steel wheels are fitted with Porsche-crest hubcaps and Dunlop Direzza DZ10Z tires measuring 205/55.

    The cabin features black upholstery, with a set of 1980s-vintage Recaro seats replacing the original items. The seller reports that Classic Car Club Manhattan removed the originals due to wear, and the seats remain in storage with the CCC. Other modifications include RS-style door panels with fabric door pulls, an aftermarket stereo, and an aluminum toe board in the driver’s footwell. Factory instrumentation is centered on an 8k-rpm tachometer, and includes a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, and fuel pressure gauge. 93k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer.

    Power is provided by a carbureted 2.0-liter type 901/16 flat-six, which is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller reports that the car has sat idle at an Auckland Porsche dealer for most of the last six months. The seller spent approximately $18k for services at Formula Motorsports in Long Island City, including new brake calipers, master cylinder pads, rotors, shocks, an MSD ignition conversion, and more detailed on attached invoices. The seller also reports that an engine rebuild was performed while the car was in the care of Classic Car Club Manhattan. The transaxle carries number 7193038, which corresponds to the number shown on the included Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Rust is pictured on the floor pan, in the battery compartment, and low on the left front fender near the wheel arch.

    A Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche Asia Pacific is provided, and denotes the original colors and equipment, as well as the original transmission number. The seller states he will cover the shipping and insurance from New Zealand to any major metropolitan area.

    BaT Description:

    This 1973 Porsche 911T was sold new in Oakland, California, and was reportedly acquired by the seller’s father from its third owner in 1988. The car is finished in Moss Green over a black leather interior, and power is from a fuel-injected 2.4-liter flat-six mated to a five-speed 915 manual transaxle. Features include a 911S-style front valance, a power sunroof, chrome wheel arch trim, 15″ Fuchs wheels, and more. A June 2019 service included a new ignition coil, fuel pump, and installation of a Permatune CD box. This 911T shows 70k miles and is offered with owner’s manuals, a Porsche certificate, service records from 1975 on, a tool roll, and a clean California title.

    Originally delivered in Olive Green, the car was repainted Moss Green in 1986 while with its third owner according to the seller. Chrome fender trim was optioned from the factory, and a 911S front valance has been fitted. Blemishes include scrapes on the right quarter panel and lower valance, chips in the deck lid, and a dent under the right rear quarter window. Fuchs wheels feature polished spokes and are mounted with 205/60-15 Pirelli P8000 Vizzola tires all around.

    Initially beige leatherette with houndstooth cloth inserts, the interior is now fitted with black vinyl seats and gray carpets. An air conditioning system was reportedly installed by the original dealer, but is currently inoperable. Just under 70k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, 32k of which have been added by the seller’s father over 31 years. An older JVC cassette stereo is mounted in the dash.

    The numbers-matching 2.4-liter 911/91 flat-six features CIS Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and produced 140 horsepower when new. A 2011 service reportedly included a new fuel distributor, injectors, and filter as well as replacement of the spark plugs, a compression check, and cylinder decarbonization. A service in June 2019 included a new ignition coil, fuel pump, and the installation of a Permatune CD box. Engine #6133291 matches the included Porsche certificate as original to this chassis. An oil change was performed in August 2017. The engine is mated to a five-speed 915 manual transaxle. The 1992 Porsche certificate lists a delivery date of February 1973 as well as factory equipment and original colors of Olive Green over beige leatherette.

    Dealer Description:

    Completed on January 16th, 1970

    Two-owner rust-free California blue-plate 911T has been garaged in Orange County, California for the past 32 years. Stunning example finished in its original factory color combination Conda Green with Black upholstery. Beautiful condition inside and out with partial original paint. The interior is amazing with original seats, door panels, the original headliner in near perfect condition, original sun visors and original dash with one small crack. The original brightwork on the window frames and quarter windows is in excellent condition along with the chrome work and rear grill. The deep-six Fuch alloys have been restored with new Vredestein 185 70 15 tires.

    2.2 Liter Flat Six engine is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and four-wheel disc brakes. The 4-speed transmission upshifts & downshifts perfectly, it is very rare to find and much easier to shift than the 5-speed dogleg. 87,979 miles are showing on the odometer and believed to be the original miles. The 2.2-liter engine was rebuilt in 1987 by GP Racing in Seal Beach, California. After the engine was rebuilt the owner could not find anyone to properly rebuild the original Zenith carburetors and the 911 was never driven. European Collectibles had the Zenith carburetors rebuilt by Supertec Performance. A full service was performed including new rotors, brake pads, wheel bearings, brake lines, brake flush, the pedal cluster & shifter bushing where replaced. All fluids changed with new fuel lines. Over $10,000 was spent! Phenomenal mechanical condition! Do not miss this opportunity to acquire a great original 911T Coupe!

    Seller's Description:

    This car is probably the best one you'll find in the country if not the world. It's 100% original with a matching # engine and full COA. The only thing that was added at the time of delivery were Recaro sport seats. It also comes with a concours 240 hp 74 911S engine installed. The OEM engine is in good shape with only 52,000 miles on it and was gone thru before taken out . The engine is in my dust free clean building ready to be put back in if you prefer. It also has cold factory air with an extra condenser installed. BTW it just won 1st place @ the 2019 Porsche Parade, and gold metal (297.6) of 300 points. Only one car scored higher a that had $270,000 spent on resoration. This a true perfect in every way survivor, without even a nick. Never any collisions or rust. It has spent its entire life in south Florida,in an A.C. Garage...... 356 partial trade considered.

    Dealer Description:

    This Porsche 911Targa is currently in our collection with only 53,000 actual miles. Its previous owner purchased the car in 1990 and only put 10,000 miles on it in the 29 years of ownership. The interior and most of the paint is original to the car and are proof that this car is low mileage and has been well kept. The condition and rarity make it a great investment and addition to any collection.

    Due to the 911T being the entry-level trim package at the time, its not often we come across an example in such original condition. It presents amazingly well with all components looking like new, but in original condition. The classic tangerine/black combo coupled with the bright brushed targa bar and polished Fuchs wheels ensures this well-loved 911 turns heads and wins nodding approvals from casual fans and hardcore Porschephiles alike.
