How do I know what to ask for, when it comes to looking for generic parts ?

With a 67 SWB, if I want to rebuild all the fuel lines, what book should I purchase, that will give me part #'s, that would be helpful when trying to cross-reference generic parts at common nationwide parts stores.

If I walk into O' Reilly's, Pep Boys, AutoParts, or Napa how do I know what parts and #'s to ask for ? I would prefer to have a list, vs asking a simple counter attendant to list all the parts available, for rebuilding all the fuel lines.

Is their any parts "bible," that can assist me with knowing what to ask for ?

ralfabco, if you go to somewhere like pelican, and search for parts, they have added a parts diagram portion.
    see here.

otherwise, you could get a factory workshop manual via this thread
