I think I have a spare cap if you're interested.

    Just let me know.

I think you'll run into the problen of having the correct spring tension left in the steel if you try and type of repair on the part and grinding or drilling the old piece of may weaken the replacement of a new spring tab.

    Spring clips

if you are willing to try a replacement I have a number of the clips here.

I have taken to saving them after the repeated taking off (when I was racing the car) and having to replace a number of hand painted caps because of a broken clip.

Now that I have a supply of clips on hand I have only broken one since..go figure.

I have one cap that I've repaired with JB Weld and enough stud grip to locate the clip.

Lets say $1.50 for each spring clip. How many do you want ?

Just to let you know......a little JB Weld and the prongs (springs) were replaced.

Does the JB weld really work?

Yes indeed......I don't know how it will hold up when the wheels get hot from braking, but for now, after several removals the prongs are holding tight.

Bob - do you have any of those clips left? I need a couple if you are willing to sell. I have the same problem .. Al Reed finished my caps to match my wheels, but one cap is missing two clips. I'll try the JB Weld trick. thanks!
