    Slide throttle on eBAy

Has anybody spotted these slide throttles for sale on ebay in the past? I am the winning bidder but suspect this may be a scam. The seller has an odd history, lives in a VERY remote place and will not accept Paypal, but, boy, do I want these!

What about asking Orkneydave on DDK to check out any address you have for the seller

Thanks Mike, I seem to have missed him on DDK :-( I have dropped him a line.

I asked the seller some very specific questions & for more detailed photos & was told that those were the only photos he (?) had ...

Request the guy's contact info on eBay and get a phone number for him. Then ring him up and say you are sending a friend who works on the oil rigs around with the cash to collect, when is convenient. You'll soon find out if he's genuine.

They look great mate, would be ace if this is a real deal

I'm pretty sure a friend of mine bought those on ebay last year from someone here in the US. He paid a lot more than that and still got a deal.

I have had no response to a request for a phone number and address, so I guess it's a scam. A warning for the future maybe?

Yup - I remember that picture and auction - I was bidding on them, but Paul's friend was the eventual winner.
