    Anal question

    I'm fixing the window winder mechanism in my '73 911, and after I clean it up a bit, fix the broken pin, then I will probably paint it. What color paint is close to proper?

    Also, any recommendations as to lubrication of the winder or anything else pertinant from those who've been there, done that?

    I think that they were plated, not painted.
