After the 'Motorama' I walked down the street to EASY parts and asked Jim Brazil if anything was go'n on Saturday morning..... Jim said sure... come on by... "We usually have the 356 guys on the 3rd Saturday"

So after another nice evening of visiting with my friends...
Yesterday morning I packed up and went back over to Emeryville to join the guys at EASY parts before I started back down home...

Got to EASY pretty early... It was just me and Jim.... and BOB GARRETSON... yeah, yeah THAT Bob Garretson... He's retired now ... but he was picking up trans case for a 'special' build-up ...

There was allot of activity around a car Jim just picked up...

It's a very complete, VERY early '66 with '65 build date he is going to sell to a friend who will eventually race it in vintage F.I.A. class in Europe....... very cool old car...

    Bob Garretson's silver '73T street car ...

And Jim Brazil's 'brown parts hauler'....
I've written about this car before. Jim put in one of his 'junk' 3 liters, after putting in a big bore kit to 3.2 w/ Webers and late Carrera brakes.

About 10 years ago he gave me a ride in this thing and hammered it around the block!!!!!!! .... My head was in the back seat on acceleration, and my eyeball on the windshield when he stopped...

After about 20 minutes or so ... off of Park Ave. hall'n ass and drifting on to Harlin St. up to EASY came the 356's ...

Seems to be a whole different vibe with these 'take-no-prisoner's NorCal 356 guys .....

    Thumbs up

At around 11:00am I decided it time to get on the road....... after about 7 hours down HWY 101 I was home about 6:00 pm last night...

    About 875 miles total...

LOTS of gas.... Best tank was 18.36 MPG...

One quart of oil ... it started a little low from the last trip

1 later Carrera Cab on the open highway ...that's all ...

    2 orange 914's .....

And 1 '67 dark blue type 1 VW bug.......

The new 'performance' cars that will try to give you a run for your money are big Japanese sedans and up-scale SUV's .......

Cheers, thanks for letting me share...

See: Coffee Meet 7-2207 in L.A. sort of........
