    Carb linkage bushings

Anyone know where I can pick up a set of bushings for this guy? These are Webers off my '66 2.0.

    Thanks,
    Rich

aren't they the same as the linkage under the car..

Try all the normal places, pelican, etc...

Per Pelican. part number 901-423-253-00-M260 should work 3.25 each..

Yes, I painted it. The engine is a lowly '70T 2.2 with rebuilt '66 Webers and it needed some pazazz. It's going to be the prime mover until my 2.0 is done. The color is rattle can Dupli-Color "Trunk, Van, & SUV" bright red. I cleaned the shroud up really good, sanded it with some 320, did a couple of coats of Dupli-Color self etching primer (not sure what it etches on fiberglass, but it's what I had) and shot about 5 coats of the red. It seems pretty tough, I've dropped a couple of wrenches on it and no scratches.

Note how nicely it matches the Ducati.

The gloss black air ducts are a gift from the PO. They're going to get painted semi-gloss this weekend.

Not bad for an "interim" motor! Is that silver paint on the cam tower and engine case? I bet some Permatex gasket remover followed by a stiff nylon brush and soap and water would clean that right up. Or maybe it's the photos.

I think this is a two-piece bushing. The linkage bushings are available from the dealer or most aftermarket parts sources. The factory ones are nylonish. Some aftermarket versions are made of bronze.

Yes, someone painted the case. The PO of the engine bought it long distance and I think the seller wanted it to look good in pictures, which it did. Even the Zeniths looked good, which they weren't. The guy I bought it from did a leakdown and it came back between 1 & 3% on all cylinders and the price was right, so I decided to look past the paint. I don't know what they used, but I tried aviation stripper and that paint just laughed at me. I think I'm just going to leave it alone and hope it doesn't start smoking when the engine heats up.

Bronze bushings...that has a ring of longevity to it. Any idea where I might pick those up?

Probably the same folks who sell bronze bushings for the pedal cluster (Pelican, Performance, Paragon Products, Stoddards, etc.).
