Help mounting rare Talbot flag mirrors

Any one mounted a pair of these? It has an L shaped bracket, not the usual screws on the bottom. Where is the best placement on the passenger side, so that I can actually see? I once read that the mirrors actually should not be attached in the same place on either side . Thanks
