    engine unsulation pad: which side out

    Guys,
    When I install the oem engine sound insulation pad in my 69, which side shows and which side gets the glue? Does the smooth black show or the light grey open foam show?

    engine sound pad

    The smooth side shows, the foam texture side gets the glue
