    Koni Rear Shock Identification

Is there any way of easily determining whether my Koni rear shocks are adjustable. Or are they all adjustable? Excuse my ignorance

As always, thanks for your input!

    Cheers, Cam

    Adjustment

I believe they are all adjustable. The most common koni on an early car is a hydraulic shock. It is adjusted by fully compressing the shock. When the rod bottoms out, the adjusting mechanism can be felt engaging. It feels like a blade enging a knotch in the bottom of the shock. The rod is then turned to adjust the shock. The easiest way to determine if the shock adjusts in this fashion is to look for an arrow on the body of the shock. It should have the word "heavy". This indicates the rod rotation to firm the shock.
