Thanks! I've actually owned three in ten years at E., this one + a 911 SC and a 986. The other two came and went, but the 914 (my first car) is a keeper. Hopefully, the next 911 will be, too.

By the way, thanks to all for the pictures so far! And there are some VERY trick cars in this thread already, can't wait to see what else will show up. Keep 'em coming! Even little details, like seeing the silver steel lugs and studs on that Weidman factory-finish 7R wheel, can be VERY helpful when planning a "new old" direction and getting the vision past the one in your head.

    Periwinkles for Pete' Sake

Enjoy... the 914-6/GT are just your basic 7 and 8" polished paddles. They may get the Harvey RSR look though.

Just arrived! a pair of refurbished 11x15's from Harvey Wiedman to replace mine which are going back to be repaired as spares. With thanks to Gib Bosworth who organised it, picked them up from Ventura together with a spare 9 and shipped them over, he's a top man!

Rob at Neil Bainbridge's BS Motorsport swopped the tyres over, carefully!

Feels like Christmas 3 months early!

Here are mine. Love the deep sixes refinished by Al Reed to look like 67S Fuchs. I am thinking about cutting the rears and have them welded up to 7R specs. What do you think? Well, I already know what Dave thinks... I included a couple of gratuitous car pics also.

Holy crap! Nice pics Scott. No way would I put the later sevens on that beauty. Some welded 7Rs and I would keep the 67 look.

Thanks Michael - I appreciate the complement. I could not resist taking advantage of the spectacular sunset lighting on Saturday. Yes, I got a little of that R look going in my 69 and don't want to loose it. That's why I wanted some opinions on the 7s vs. 7Rs. I agree BTW - I am going to keep the period look with 7R replicas. Or, if i can find reasonably priced 7R's..... I will go that route.

Scott - you need to find a good detailing shop to clean that thing up a bit

Pete - the mystery wheels are some sort of Fuchs replicas estimated to be 20+ years old on a real RS lightweight.
