    Interesting . . .

All of these radios look pretty-much the same, so far . . . especially the knobs

    All Blaupunkt, too. Frankfurts?

    Anyone w/ a Euro-band?

Here's mine from a '69, obscured by a neat plug-in volt meter that is handy for checking generator output, etc. As you may see, to the right of the volt meter is the legend "SW" on the faceplate of the radio showing the shortwave or Euro-band capability referred to, supra.

There's a guy selling metal plates to either blank out the cutout or restore it to fit a radio after the PO enlarged it... I'm sorry his name doesn't spring to mind but if you search the board you will find it (and my post asking about it). It's well worth the low price. I wish restoring the rear parcel shelf for speaker holes were this easy !

I got mine from Woody's Custom Shop. They sell through Ebay but will also sell direct. In the LA area I believe. The piece I got was for the Blaupunkt cut-out and it worked very well.

I guess the PO (back in the early '70) thought this was a good idea. BTW, the Motorola AM radio isn't original either, (69S) came with a Becker Grand Prix. Haven't touched the car in 38 years, so the 8 track is still in there. Guess I should be glad it wasn't a Muntz.

Radio is a Blaupunkt Frankfurt-US, AM/FM and short wave, Order No. 9323 (901.645.101.02), which cost $128.75 back in the day. I used to sit in the garage at night listening to all the faraway places I could raise on the short wave frequencies.

Everything is correct except the radio. It shouldn't be a stereo.
