The 4773 cars would be all of the 1964 built plus all of the 1965 built plus all 1966 built up to the 1967 RS Deluxe models and a bunch of the Deluxe models also. It really is a curious # that I cannot fully understand. 304955 is the last of the 1966 model year range that was used and it included all of the Deluxe cars from about 304703

I think “curious” might be the best description.
Possibly, but how many errors are there? From 300001 to 304702 would be 4702 cars; and that is all 911 production for model years 1965 & 1966 not including some that blur the line between 1966 & 1967 model years. Porsche generally recognizes that 1967 model year as starting at 305101 as do most of us on this site I would think. Now, yes I see the year 1995 and 1965 as the period of interest, so I assume that 1995 was a typo. I tend to think that the total of 1965 model year cars is near 2000 cars and that the 1966 model year extends to 304955. So I cannot know the intent; there is too much strange with that letter.
It could well be that 301835 is the 74th sunroof. My data suggests that around 10% of the cars built after about 301200 could have a sunroof. Before that the sunroof was less common.

How do you feel your data compares to the list of sunroof cars on page one of this thread?
Exiting... Sure it ist still part of your collection? Got a copy from the vendor to do some research. Never heard of this VIN before, especially in the context of factory-built early sunroof 911. Restored re-import with valid title of ownership ("Fahrzeugbrief"; converted from original us-title). May be interesting to ask the vendor if he knows there are "twins"...
