Thanks Ed.......I'm assuming the '73.5s were produced in late '73?......is this true?.......were they the last of the long hoods to be produced?

    RS front tank support

Aaron, the 73 T I'm working on is VIN 9113101674, so it is later than your 1166 by a substantial number, and it has its original early style tank support. It seems to be 1770 numbers from the last production number that I can find in the "Red Book" and 84 numbers later than the last RS number listed in the "Red Book" My vote would be for the early style pan in your car. It is also stated that the 73 1/2 CIS cars were built from January 73 to end of production in the usual August time frame. An interesting side note here is that I was working at the Fort Worth Porsche dealer when this car was delivered. I was the first person to work on it, as it came off the shipping truck locked in two gears, no doubt some heavy handed stevedore. I got to know the owner in later years through PCA activities. He sold the car to get a new SC at that time, but bought it back from its 2nd owner 2 1/2 years ago. I and the body shop have been making it like new again ever since. Gemini blue, original sport seats, and S front spoiler, as it was delivered.

A picture of a 1973 911E of March production and it has the oldstyle.

I have Nr. 897 of 925 produced 1973 S targa's and need to replace the upper tanksupport myself. (one of the last produced pre-impact bumpers)
I really like to know what style I need to have.
