    worth? update

    Thanks for the responce,
Here's a couple more pics.. like the intake covers?
Seller called today, told him I really wanted a stick. He didn't realize it was a Sporto until I pointed it out. Asked if he found the front bumper, He hadn't.
Told me to give him 4K, and go buy a bumper.....
"Homemade 911" spotted the 915 shifter & it has no emblem on decklid.
So I doubt he drove it home!
He's moving his cars. I'm going back tomorrow, offer him 3,500. Grab it before he changes his mind.
    He has a Blk 70' 911E thats complete & another 197? w/no motor.
    I'll get some pictures/prices

    Thanks, Rich

Gauges would indicate a 68T. Add another $500 in break up value from the aluminum muffler skirts. If its really nice add $800-1000

I got the car! Now what are these?

I started digging under the hood and found these?? Bumper supports...
For handling? They have 901 part #. I'll put up some more pics tomorrow of the rest of the car.
    Thx Rich

stainless mufflerskirt is a very nice option too. this car was well optioned . sort it out for rust and take a lot of pictures and post over on the early911S board. there is wealth of knowledge over there too on these early cars. this might be worth a resto. has all the right bits. good find.

Its a little had to tell from the pictures, but those look like the lead weights placed behind the front bumper, that were used to "cure" handling issues prior to lengthening the wheel base on 69 and up. If they are very heavy, then thats it.
