    FS 1977 911S- 993 3.6 VarioRam

    Gents,
The short story is I am selling my 1977 911S. This has a VERY tasty 1998 993 Vario Ram engine and all of the expected upgrades. It is NOT a hot rod looking 911. It does have an attitude and the performance is as you would expect. Low key Forest Green with tan interior. I won't bore everyone here but I will tell you that my reserve is considerably less than what a friend who does collector car appraisals told me I should expect to get for it. We all know this isn't the best time of year for this and I need to move on. If you are interested there is extensive information + photos on EvilBay item # 320195888833.
    Happy trails

Very nice John, great colour too. Your brother's comment is something for all of us to bear in mind. My brother would be equally enthusiastic, so I have other guys in place just in case!

A buddy of mine has just brought another tasty 911 hot rod back from the US for a nice price thanks to the exchange rate, so I will post this on our site at impactbumpers.com and see if we can find a proper buyer for you on this side of the pond. You never know

Link to ebay sale is here for anyone who wants to have a look.

    sold!

    Gents,

    Thanks for the kind words.

This truely was a case of [as my wife says] "Too many Porsches!" I fall in love with and buy cars and THEN I try to figure out what I am gonna do with them. Well, I have in the past. I am trying to turn over a new leaf and only keep what I have decent garage space for.... errrr, really.

The car was picked up in the midst of last week's intense storm. The buyer flew down from the Seattle area... TWICE! The first time the aircraft couldn't land due to buffeting side winds and a lot of wind shear. He cam down late that night, hoteled near the airport, and I met him the next morning. He was able to get a brief look at it just as another storm moved in. We went out for a drive and it was impossible to properly demonstrate any performance due to wheelspin and my acting in a somewhat sane manner.

He left that afternoon and had to take Highway 1 as Highway 5 had lots of snow and ice and had even been closed earlier.
He made it home safely, except for a broken front fog light and bent exhaust.. errr, snow/ice on Hi 5???? Well, he encountered sudden ice on Highway 1 in Oregon and discovered the joy of 911-ing off the highway in the magical way they are known for... backwards! Only minor damage but rather exciting. Otherwise, it was a good trip and he and I are still quite friendly... even after him putting those quick 1000 miles on it.

I am delighted that the car went to a genuine enthusiast.... with a patient and charming wife [who used a '59 Porsche cab as her daily driver in the early 60s!]. Some wife.
