    Hhhhhh

This is one of those situations where it seems over-enthusiasm has turned someone WAY off

I dropped-off a note, asking if I could see this car. I received a prompt + cordial response, inviting me to meet The Owner at our next local C&C

As some of you may know, The Owner has a collection of spectacular cars --- he drove 904-064 to that C&C. We met + talked, I was introduced to some people from Ford Design --- including the Head of (!!) . . . who were there --- and was even invited to join The Owner for breakfast. WAY more than a nice guy

    But. As soon as I mentioned The 700-mile S --- + taking photographs? . . . .

. . . his first comments were about the CD-scheme --- and his indignation over it

Even worse? Apparently, some people criticized details about the car . . .

    '. . . not correct . . .'

I have no idea what the back-story of all this is. But, it's pretty clear that, so far, anyway . . . The Owner doesn't appreciate the kind of attention that the car's received, sooooo . . .

    . . . I'm treading very lightly

    Imagine that! LOL

Hopefully he doesnt mind that I freely shared my photos from the Excellence story. The car is a great reference point. Who could claim it was incorrect? Crazy...

Scavenged those already... I just figured it'd be nice to have them on CD in a larger format and I assumed more pictures than those were taken..

I can't fathom feeling the same way myself. Collecting/owning and showing significant cars and then feeling uncomfortable with the reactions of enthusiasts...weird.

    I don't know if The Owner visits this board . . .

    . . . or maybe he has friends who do? --- I don't know

The Point is --- regardless of what anyone else may think or feel . . .

    . . . The Owner is not comfortable . . .

    . . . and he's a really nice guy, too, so . . . .
