Thread: 700 mile 2.2 S

  1. #41
Did not see this thread until now. Dave did a great job photographing this car under restricted conditions.

I have some photos from 2005, when it was on a trailer. Also snapshots from the owner's collection. But will not post them without his permission.

I have a car studio near Seattle and access to one in Orange County. I recently photographed a 1976 Euro Carrera in complete detail from every angle. It took two days and cost more than $200...

    Always willing to help!

Super cool artifact, but what a waste. When it becomes the 701 mile 911S it starts losing value.

Does one put the back wheels on dollies when moving it around your facility so it doesn't rack up the miles?

    It's his car.
If he parked it in his basement and used it for target practice that would be his prerogative. In the meantime people will just have to wait patiently for him to pass so that it becomes publicly accessible.

Super thankful David got pics and shared them.

Made these available several years ago. Feel free to send me your two bills.
For newer members who have not had the opportunity to view these photos, or been aware of this car, please enjoy!

As a recent '70 911 owner, pretty much all original and wanting to keep it that way, this is an invaluable resource and I thank those that made it possible for me to download the complete set of photos. Should a CD become available, I too would be willing to contribute.

I believe I know who the owner is. If I’m correct he interviewed and hired me 15 years ago for a company I use to work for. Is his initials D.M.?
