Thread: This Server is Crashing

  1. #31
    Guys,
It isn't your browser or computer, especially if you can reach other sites quickly.

    Chuck,
Ask the Registry's host service to get their act together or increase the capabilities due to increased traffic, otherwise change services (the add'l cost should be negligible). This situation isn't necessary with a paid membership base.

Nothing personal. I realize this isn't your area of expertise or responsibility. Just mentioning this because you're the defacto Registry rep on the forum and can direct these messages to the person(s) in charge who isn't monitoring the latest activity (or lack thereof).

Being the eternal optimist I am, I prefer to look at this as a sort of period correct, vintage experience. I still remember the very first time I connected to the internet. It was the 80's and my brother Kevin was already a computer geek. He brought a laptop over (with a black & white screen) and plugged my phone line into it. He said, 'watch this'. He started a download of a photo of a Porsche 911. As it was loading, we went in another room and watched a ball game, occasionally checking back to see how it was doing. After about 45 minutes there was this glorious picture on the screen. I was absolutely stunned and to this day don't really understand how it all works!!

Don't know what magic you used, but it seems back to normal tonight. I doubt if you get paid enough for what you do!!
