Where to find superlight 911R seat

Does anyone know who makes a bare shell like the navigator seat of this 911R? I don't need a real one, just a minimum weight lowback seat with no padding or upholstery.

    John,

It might be they used the plain shell (recaro or scheel) before it gets covered w/ upholstery.

It almost looks like a fiberglass version of a speedster seat.

You might check w/ Vintage Seats. Don't see why they would not sell you
    a bare shell.

Andy, that looks right. Can you provide more detail?

John - I had been looking for something like this for several months (I didn't want to buy a new seat shell) & eventually found this ex-NSU TTS seat in Europe.

A couple of years ago I saw a familiar-looking old fixed bucket seat poking out the back of a Ford Transit belonging to one of the sellers at the Beaulieu Autojumble (famous swapmeet here in the UK).

I enquired if the seat was for sale .... "What that old thing ? How does a tenner (£10) sound ?"

I clenched my teeth (to try & supress a giant grin) as I walked away with the seat - it was from a 906 ...

Ach, an NSU TTS, a car almost as rare as a 906 itself!

I'll probably go the route of the fiberglass shell. A go-kart seat might work also.
