Thread: Engine fire update

The old 935's used to light up the night with fuel burn on "over-run".

This may be a protest from it for bringing it to a "cold place".

Sounds plausible that you did have fuel leak past the valves and into the exhaust system. I'd pull all the plugs and rotate it to clear any residual. This will give you the peace of mind that the engine won't hydo-lock (or in this case petro-lock) since a liquid won't compress.
I'll bet a few Kroners that you'll be fine.

The car is in a new home now and you'll need to make it understand you mean it no harm.

    Best of luck!

Pictures before and after I cleaned the enginecompartment I have begun to spray the electrical conections with WD40. It dos not seem that any powder has entered the engine. But maybe I should remove the airfilters anyhow before cranking it? I will follow Toms advice to prevent hydrolock, thanks for all the good tips S-people!

Varunan; Thanks and the original color is Albert Blue. Its getting the MFI and color change in time!

I removed some of the rear parts and hosed it down again to remove as much as possible of the powder. Cant find any damage to engine, wiring etc. I can see that the powder is corrosive because some nuts and bolts have rust that where not in the pictures from when I bought the car. Looks like the oil and dirt on the rear and underside of the engine has protected it from the powder.
