Porsche Parade Early S Blue Ridge Ride

I am getting excited about the Porsche Parade in Charlotte living only 45 mins away. Anyhow I want to see if folks are interested in getting together for an unofficial tour. I am meeting with some of the organizers later this month, and maybe we can even try to make it official.

I have a fantastic route that will take us on the blue ridge parkway for about 1/2 the drive. I love taking my car up there, it is just stunning and fun.

If you all are interested, reply to this thread, and I will see what I can do. I think it will be awesome to get some good early 911s up in the "porsche friendly roads" as we call them around here.

It will take about 1 1/2 hours to ge tto the parkway, about 3 hrs on the parkway, and about 2 hrs to get back to Charlotte to the best of my calcualtions. We can stop at Mt Mitchell state park, they have a nice resturant there.

    again, just let me know

I'm not planning on attending the Parade but keep me posted on plans for a ride up my way. I live in Asheville and could hop in line along the route.

There are some amazing routes through NC, WV, and VA that were a part of the Mountain Mille routes over the last several years.

    Porsche Parade Blue Ridge tour

We will be at Parade and would love to meet all you right coast guys, gals. We both (my wife, Jan) and I tend to be pulled several different directions all week, she with her National Awards duties, and me with Judging, doing a tech presentation, and both driving the autocross, but if there is any way to fit this in we'll be there.
