Jesse Alexander at the Petersen Museum 4-5-08

    http://www.petersen.org/default.cfm?...CalendarID=632

On Saturday, April 5th at 1:30, Jesse Alexander will be doing a book signing of Porsche Moments 1954-56 (got a copy already, its GREAT) and Ferrari Gran Prix Moments 1954-1966.

I was thinking that after Cars and Coffee, we take a drive north and go. We can meet up with the West side and Valley guys?

You are talking about someone who has LIVED history, made history with his photos.

It's my Mom's birthday that day. You think maybe she'll want to go to the Petersen?

    I'm in if she does.

    dinner party

Marco, I am taking a chance your mom does NOT read the S Registry BB.

I'll already be up in LA, with others I hope. Lets go to dinner afterwards..Tony and your mom meet us at a restaurant on the Westside??

They already have plans? Make it a surprise party, or not.

    Hmmm...

I just got reinstated as a docent at the Petersen after a two year layoff from my back surgery. I became a docent there in '99 and took leave in early '06. I might have to volunteer to "work" this event and spend some time with Mr. Alexander.

    Post VIP Tour?

    Stefan,

Lets meet at Farmers Market for breakfast. We can time our arrival to see the museum before Jesse Alexander.

Afterwards, MAYBE you can give us a "special tour" of the museum, behind the scenes. I have alays heard The Vault stores the best cars.

Then we can meet up with Tony and Marco for Lois' birthday?

    Hey Ray,

I have to check my schedule on that day, I'll know more as the date approaches. I did talk to our coordinator last night and it will be a normal day at the museum w/o any big hoopla around it. I can guide us around the museum but actually getting into the vault requires director approval and I don't have enough juice with Dick Messer to get that right now. The good news is a new exhibit is opening up on the second level called "Treasures of the vault" for which I am attending an orientation by our curator this Monday. It should include some of the gems from behind the scenes.

Let's stay in touch on this...
