I am restoring 1969 S coupe #0025. Blood Orange exterior.

My first 911 was blood orange. I loved it but the cops hated it; they told my future wife not to ride with me cause I took turns on 2 wheels. I painted it light ivory and they hated it no more. I think my driving changed with the color; kind of like Jim Carry in " The Mask"?

My Targa, 500 010, has engine no. 960070, Build No. 5425 and has an original maintenance book, dated 2.8.66, translated to US: 8/2/66. I would think that the engine no. would play a big part in this discussion.

    Hello Schiefer,
I had a wonderful time with Tim and Karen a few weeks ago and was happy to help out with the wrench...
BTW my S was delivered on 21 July in 1966 and a friend from the Museum told me that the date was the first day of production...

    Hi Michael,
    Great info, thank you!
Please post some pictures if you have the chance :-)

Also fantastic to see cars like the Dr. Porsche Targa above.

Brian: Have you tried to find out what chassis this engine belong to?? It should be quite easy to find out.

    Gruß, Radmund

305142 (July 21th 1966 built) is in France.
About 305142, I once reported it here:
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ess+67S+french

305142 is the car Ferry leans on it and served as the Polo red press car for the 67S brochures.
It was the show car at Paris Car Salon in October 1966 and was featured in many press articles, I was told.

I owned #308330S in 1997. It got fully restored, I think it now lives in the SF Bay area.
