thanks guys, appreciate the encouragement.. glad to see there are like minded enthousiast out there!

No plans currently other that pampering her, lots of washing, waxing and a little bit of driving on nice days. I am still very nervous that something might happen.

Andy, yes indeed i still have my 71E. After some engine problems on the track a year ago she underwent a major restoration, and looks great now. however totally overshadowed by Paul's car I'm afraid!

thanks John, you are always welcome here. Will try to post additional pics on a website.

Ah, the Bosphorus and Istanbul. Such a beautiful river and city. My wife and I have a friend there and went to visit him a while ago and loved the city and surounding area.

Good to see the car made it. Beautiful as ever.

I was just about to check Snopes.com to see if this whole story was, alas, mere urban legend.

Looks like she's in good hands... keep us updated on your adventures!

I don't believe it is possible that the Pac West could lose its very honorable rep. The level of enthusiasm and knowledge and the quality and quantity of the cars there is amazing, second to none.
I have always wondered what it is that makes the early 911 such a cherished part of that region.

If there are a few spoiled apples, there are no more there than anywhere else.

I think it says more about Evren, and Paul's desire to be absolutely sure that the car would never be loved less than it was when he owned it.
