Listers,

Is the 2.2 liter biral cylinder height the same as that of the 2.4 biral cylinders? Same question for the cast iron cylinders.

I'm checking into using a set of 2.2L 911S pistons in a set of 2.4L 911S biral cylinders along with a 66 mm crank. I also have 2.2 cast iron cylinders that could be nickasil plated and then matched honed by LN Engineering if there is a difference.

The Porsche part number are different at least in part due to the pronounced difference between the 2.2L vs. 2.4L 911S pistons.

Thoughts about using biral versus cast iron? The cast iron cylinders can be nickasiled but the birals should not be, according to Charles Navarro.

Anyone have specs on max limit values of 84 mm biral cylinder taper and out-of-round (ovality)?

Many thanks in advance,

- Neil
