sunroof question

This is the first time I encounter this but is this factory, it sure looks like it,
it has forward drains thru the A-pillar that ends under the fender.
there's one on each side, its a 68 912 sunroof...

if Factory this is sure odd

I've seen it on early cars. Usually I thought 64 & 65?

A pillar to front fender? In addition to your photo?

Yep, that's the rear drain outlets. These early cars had drains to all four corners of the sunroof opening and that is what the rears look like. Open each door and just under the fender dogleg is the plumbing for the front drains. Nice photo.

The 65s had a different sunroof. My 65 #303212 had a sunroof almost just like a 356 electric sunroof but shorter front to rear.

Never saw the front sunroof drain tubes...but the rears are excactly correct for a SWB car. My '67 912 had them exactly as shown in your pictures.

My November '67 build '68 911 has the drain tubes like the later cars so they must have changed it for the '68 model year.
