That's a good idea..... I put the rubber ones in long ago. But I'm thinking I would like to put the original type back in. I never did have any rust problems with the vinly type...not sure why.

    leatherette (not vinyl?)

I just had some one over who I showed my car. It appeared that vinyl and leatherette is possibly not the same. Leatherette has cloth on the flip side, vinyl not? The material used is leatherette, same stuff that is used on the seats and pilars.

On closer inspection it looks different. Richard, is it possible to lay it flat and make a template? Yours maybe the only surviving set not attached to the car!

Also, were they always body colored and not black like the rubber ones? I'm going to need a pair of these

    David,

They are not supposed to be body colored but black leatherette.

Templates .. let me think about that. Now I am pretty unique and you better download those pix before I remove my thread I will look into it the coming weeks and see how many people would be interested.

BTW How are the engine decalls coming along?

    David and Richard,

The ones I had on my car were also black. If you make some up, count me in.
