differences between Porsche Classic Technical Certificate/ COA

I would like to know if there are distinctions between these two documents, or if they are two different names to name the already named COA. I want to think that the technical certificate is something more "worked" ... Does it exist? In that case ... How is it?

The CoA is no longer available from Porsche distributors. The PPS has replaced it, but engine # and transmission # are usually missing even if you provide them. The CTC is a thorough inspection of the car as it is presented to them at an authorized dealer. It is more likely to have engine # and transmission # but the originals are only confirmed it they are installed. That is, you could have the original engine sitting at home with a performance engine installed, and they will not have the original engine on the certificate.
So what is the alternative? Well I can help with original Kardex (1950 through 1969, and a few 1970) or for cars from 1970 through 1980 I can make up a report similar to the old CoA but with additional details. For the 17 digit VIN it is more difficult to get information sometimes, so there may be better sources. Reverse searches using the engine # are generally successful, and I assume for transmission #'s also; but some years the transmission # is not recorded regularly, and some Kardex do have important information missing or can be blank. Please email for details.
