    67S details

    Hi,

Can anyone confirm if the handbrake and gearshift boot is leather or the plastic type on a 67S?

Was tinted and clear glass an option for 67S, mine has clear but wondered if it should be tinted.

The door scuff plate on a 67S, I presume is the metal type, not plastic?

    Thanks in advance

    Alan

I would say mine are original as well, but both are rubber. The spare part catalogue says for the gear shift boot 'rubber' and the handbrake one looks like rubber too. Actually I only saw rubber so far. There is only one spare part number for each. Could leather be aftermarket items?

I have 'studied' the leather shift booth as welll and I am inclined to say that only MY 65 had leather shift boots.

Tinted windshields were an option and are mentioned on the kardex/ COA.

    Mine were rubber on #306831S.

Tinted glass was shown as an option on my COA, but so was the auxiliary heater, which I understood was standard on the S, so with the problems in quality of COA data that has been reported, who knows? All my glass originally had a light green tint, not just the windshield, but it was NLA when I last checked.

Mine were metal--a ribbed aluminum extrusion.

Does anybody have a beat up old leather shift boot that I could use as a pattern for my car?
