For Trade: 1968 Recaro Reclining Sport Seats for 1969/73 Recaro Reclining Sport Seats

Hi. I have for SALE OR TRADE a set of 1968 Recaro reclining sport seats, complete with the correct sliders with height adjustment, and driver and passenger tilting bases and headrests. I bought these seats from John Wilhoit in Southern California about a year ago, so the provenance and correctness is good. I planned to recover the seats and that's the way I am representing them--I would recover them. They are usable as is, but no way good for a show car like this. I have a 1972 911 and would just rather put the later seats with the later and more correct (for my particular car) tilting seat bases in. Is there anyone out there looking for a set of 1968 seats who has a set of later seats on hand? I'd love to work out a trade. It doesn't necessarily have to be a straight trade. I mean, if your seats are nicer, I'd be willing to top off a deal with some cash, if necessary. I'd consider an outright sale for my seats too. Price $4000 OBO including correct tilting bases and height adjustable sliders. I hope to hear from someone in regard. Thanks! M

I have a set of correct 1972 bases, but they are in very rough shape. They are currently not for sale because I wanted to refinish them before I did sell them. I could be inspired to let them go as is for a fair market price. I also have a set of 1973 seats that have been powder coated and refinished in "marine vinyl" of all things. They are in great shape, but incorrect material. I will not release these until I get my other seats from Tony (German Vinyl with Houndstooth). Sorry, no trades as I have enough already I need to get rid of.

I may have a deal in the works, but as of this morning, these are still available for sale or trade. Thanks.
