    Mystery screws

I was doing some work on the car tonight which reminded me to ask the forum regarding two screws that are located on the trim near the front quarter window. Picture attached.

I pulled the screws out, but they don't go through to the body, as I can see the body paint underneath.

    What are these for?

Don't mind the two holes for the passenger side mirror. I just removed it tonight as I can not see a thing through it, no matter how hard I try to adjust, the angle was not working. Holes will be filled later this year as the car goes back to Irish Green.

    Car is a 1970 911t.
