    I hear ya,

    I didn't paint it, thats how the generic Fleabay version arrived (cushion base I agree is not necessary, and I am not even Scottish ).....lets call it work in progress, I plan to make a 'raw' fibreglass version using this as a starting mold.....leave it in the sun and see what happens .

    I made a block off plate like that 5 or 6 years ago and have had similar results. The temp rarely goes above the 90 C mark unless I'm stuck in traffic on a hot day. Mine doesn't look as nice as yours though with those cool stiffening ribs.
